Alex Casso








Alex Casso grew up on a cattle ranch in Laredo Texas, his artwork emanate the life on the ranch which was located on the US/Mexican border. Alex Casso, barrows images from contemporary pop-culture and the iPhone to illustrate the politics, corruption and social problems that in recent years have increased with the violence and drug trafficking in this area. In his artworks wolves are a barefaced metaphor of the menace posed by every contemporary society to its traditional mores.

Alex Casso studied at New York University, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011.  He also received a Associates of Liberal Arts from San Antonio College in 2008. Alex Casso lives and works in New York City.
